From zippy, mineral driven refreshment to layered, age worthy complexity, the Loire Valley is one of the most exciting and diverse white wine regions on the planet. In this 1.5 hour class, we’ll explore a wide range of white wines from across the Loire, tasting through different grapes, styles, producers, and subregions to discover what makes this historic French region such a paradise for wine nerds.

Come discover everything from crisp, citrusy Sauvignon Blanc to textured Chenin Blanc, salty coastal Melon de Bourgogne, and one or two grapes you've never even heard of.  We’ll talk terroir, winemaking, food pairings, and how one river valley can produce such wildly different expressions of white wine. Fresh off her Vineyard Notes journey through southern Italy, Kiera is bringing the wines, stories, and unforgettable experiences of Campania straight to your glass.

Nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean, Campania is home to some of Italy's most exciting white wines. Ancient grape varieties, volcanic soils, dramatic landscapes, and a rich culinary tradition combine to create wines that are vibrant, distinctive, and unlike anything else in the world. During this guided tasting, you'll explore a lineup of white wines discovered throughout Kiera's travels, including wines from producers she visited during the trip.

Along the way, you'll hear stories from the vineyards, cellars, and dinner tables that make this corner of Italy so special, while gaining a deeper understanding of the grapes, regions, and traditions that define Campania.

When most wine lovers hear "Sancerre," they think of crisp, mineral driven Sauvignon Blanc. And while Sancerre certainly produces some of the world's most beloved white wines, that's only part of the story.

Join Cabell Tomlinson of Potomac Selections as we take a deeper dive into one of France's most celebrated wine regions. This special tasting will explore all three colors of Sancerre, featuring two whites, two rosés, and two reds from two of our favorite producers.
