First things first: there will be NO Beaujolais Nouveau served in this class.
If Nouveau is the first, or only, thing that comes to mind when you hear “Beaujolais,” it is definitely time to spend an afternoon with Betty! Beaujolais is capable of producing beautifully aromatic, structured, complex, and seriously age-worthy Gamay, particularly when you start digging into the region’s ten Crus.
We’ll taste six wines, including four different Cru Beaujolais, as Betty explores how granite soils, vineyard sites, winemaking choices, and individual appellations transform one grape into dramatically different wines. Come prepared to completely rethink what you know about Beaujolais.
